It's physically impossible to not kill heavy troopers with a single headshot, regardless of damage mods.
The AP upgrade also makes it ironically one of the better weapons for anti-robot duty too, so the damage boost helps there.ĭefinitely still add Damage to other weapons first (the Combat Rifle and Sniper Rifle upgraded to max do GODLY amounts of damage) but don't discount 10mm damage upgrades altogether. This isn't necessarily true - I noticed around 2/3rds through the game where a single headshot on an AP-upgraded 10mm wasn't downing heavy troopers, but after a few damage upgrades, it did. You should only use damage mods on the 10mm if you plan on shooting robots with it.
With the armor piercing mod, your bullets ignore armor, thus a headshot will kill anyone except ogres, regardless of damage mods or any other factors. Originally posted by Vassago Rain:No, they're better used for other weapons.
